In the summertime, you’ll find great activities and adventures for the whole family at Whiteface Mountain, from the Adventure Zone and Downhill Mountain Biking to scenic Cloudsplitter Gondola Rides and 4×4 Alpine Expeditions. In the fall, take a drive up the Veterans’ Memorial Highway for breathtaking views of Adirondack fall foliage.

One of our favorite stops is the Olympic Center Tour
The Olympic Center, located right on Lake Placid’s Main Street, is the site of some of the greatest and most memorable moments in winter sports history. It was here that Eric Heiden, in his gold suit, streaked to five speed-skating victories. It was here that the United States Hockey team won its Miracle on Ice game against the Soviet Union. But the Olympic Center is no relic, no crumbling artifact. It continues to host major international competitions. It remains a mecca to winter athletes not just because of its storied past, but because it is a world-class athletic facility. And it’s also a business office, a museum, a conference center, and a cultural reference point.
